That's a good cup of coffee!

First, I should provide the usual disclaimer and advise that I'm about to write about a product from one of my clients. Perhaps that makes me a bit biased. Years ago when I built fishing rods, I would have the coffee pot on constantly, and always enjoyed trying different coffee varieties. Now that I'm getting a little older, I'm watching my coffee consumption a bit more. This might change though.

Russ Gooding of Golden Witch Technologies has done it again. Constantly on the look out for new products that he'd like to share, he's come up with a product called "Rod Shop Roast." According to Russ, all of the staff at Golden Witch (a split cane components and rod building shop) are all coffee lovers too. Recently, one of Russ' clients introduced a Ugandan coffee bean to the Golden Witch crew. The crew all loved it so much, Russ decided to try custom roasting these beans, and in doing so, came up with a wonderfully flavoured coffee.

Russ sent me a couple of bags as a sample recently. I'm going to now have to order more of it as all the crew here at my office love the stuff too! Grocery store coffee won't do anymore. This stuff is really really good! And it's increased my coffee consumption as well. Ah well.. sometimes the hedonistic approach to life is the best.

If you'd like to try a really good cup of coffee, I'd highly recommend that you check out Rod Shop Roast. Read the description on the back label. You don't have to be own a rod shop or craft custom rods to enjoy this!

I'll bet most of you coffee swilling fly tiers will love it as well. At least before you start getting into the Scotch anyhow. It would also make for a lovely river side beverage straight out of thermos on those cool mornings.
